Two places are in focus in this soap. First of all the hospital clinic run by Göran Fridell, a doctor who can not take advice from others, including his wife Ingrid, who also works at the hospital. Their daughter Annika also works as a nurse at the hospital but dreams of becoming a doctor. She has a relationship with the young doctor Anders Ståhlberg but may loose him to nurse ...。逢年過節就是華人女性最忙碌的時刻，農曆新年更堪稱「女性勞動周」，尤其是傳統觀念中，「媽媽」、「女兒」、「媳婦」除了被賦予除舊佈新的責任，過年期間還要駐守廚房、還要幫忙祭祀、張羅年菜...... 但到底一系列的過年習俗，讓女性們忙前忙後的背後意義是甚麼?。
