周择民正和朋友切磋武艺，突然接到武术学校来的电话，宋老师问他，他女儿珊珊是不是回家了，因为珊珊和同学们发生矛盾，出走的很突然。周择民根本就没看到珊珊回家，便问同在武校上学的儿子亮亮，知不知道妹妹的下落。珊珊究竟去了哪里？正在周择民倍感焦急的时候，他的老父亲收到一封匿名信，里面有半截发夹，信中约周择民见面，并言称和他算一笔“旧账”。看着信中的字迹，周择民浓眉紧锁，想起一段伤情往事……。Framing StoryDr Martin (Robert Powell) arrives at a secluded asylum "for the incurably insane" to be interviewed for a job by the wheelchair-using, authoritarian Dr Lionel Rutherford (Patrick Magee).
