(Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。草根常焕然（张超 饰）是一名工地操作员。在平淡的生活中也有个人小小的生活追求，希望用自己的青春为家人拼搏出幸福的生活。但是想法很美满，现实很骨感。一边是老婆谭晓敏（胡琳娜 饰）即将待产，自己又想要创业放手一搏，一边是不良老板截留自己的工资，摆脱不了的困境。当在工地，一个意外发现一件宝物，这个立即能改变现在囧态及以后人生命运的奇遇时，常焕然也面临着抉择。豪房豪车体面的生活，常焕然无时无刻不是这样想。于是戏剧的人生转折就此开始。。
