专偷皮鞋的女扒手Tina发现自己出人意料地被释放后，拜访了预审法官的公寓。法官Carole Rewinsky 并没有告诉Tina她的假释只是出于程序上的错误。她们发现除了司法系统以外他们还有许多共同兴趣，比如说对鞋的共同兴趣。Carole允许Tina在她家的沙发椅上留宿……。Based in 1934 in Duluth, Minn., during the Great Depression, “Girl From the North Country” centers on a group of wayward travelers as their lives intersect in a guesthouse.
